Sanja festival is one of the three most exuberant festivals of the
old city of Edo ( Tokyo ).On a Saturday during the festival, about 100 mikoshi
portable shrines sponsored by the local comunity are carried through
the streets. On the following Sunday, the three main mikoshi
representing the shrine wend their way their way through the streets.
